Whose Europe? The “New Europe” and Controversy around the European Idea

International Conference and Local Workshops, Public Events / at /

Who belongs to Europe? And when we say “Europe,” what exactly do we mean? Such questions are the subject of controversy in the aforementioned five countries of the Eastern Partnership and elsewhere in Eastern Europe. In cooperation with local stakeholders and in light of specific, nationally distinct cultures (and policies), the project Whose Europe? will identify and devise various forms of interaction at the local, national and European levels, specify their effects, and then publish the outcomes online, so making them accessible throughout Europe and beyond, and also put them up for local review in their original contexts.
